Lottery and Gaming Credit
The lottery and gaming credit provides direct property tax relief to homeowners and is shown as a reduction in taxes due on the property tax bill.  If taxes are paid in two installments, the credit is applied to the first installment.
To qualify for the Lottery and Gaming Credit, an owner must be a Wisconsin resident, own the property, and use the property as their primary residence on January 1, 2017.  A homeowner may only claim one lottery credit.
If you are eligible for the 2017 lottery credit but your property tax bill does not reflect the credit, you may obtain an application at https://www.revenue.wi.gov/forms.lottery/index.html.  Please complete the application and include with your tax payment made on or before January 31, 2018.
Once you have applied for and received the credit you do not need to file another application until your primary residence changes.  If you have questions regarding the Lottery and Gaming Credit, please contact the County Treasurer’s Office.
